Mazô Maná offsets 17 tons of CO2 with Eccaplan
Mazô Maná is pleased to announce an important achievement in our journey towards sustainability and socio-environmental responsibility!
Since the beginning of our operations, we have managed to offset 17 tons of CO2, reaffirming our commitment to protecting the Amazon Rainforest and its traditional communities. Our partnership with Eccaplan, a greentech company specializing in carbon neutralization, has enabled all greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions to be neutralized through the REDD+ RESEX Jacundá Project.
“Using our emissions calculator, we produce the inventory that we
allowed us to reach the total number of GHG emissions related to activities
of the company in 2022 and 2023. For us at Eccaplan, it is a pride to manage
this action and be part of such an achievement, fulfilling our mission, of
connect, in a transparent, simple and effective way, socio-environmental projects,
companies and people”, says Fernando Beltrame, CEO of Eccaplan.
REDD+ Project RESEX Jacundá
The REDD+ RESEX Jacundá Project not only promotes biodiversity conservation, but also improves the quality of life of the communities of the Rio Preto-Jacundá Extractive Reserve, located in the state of Rondônia. The initiative aims to reduce CO2 emissions through forest conservation, offering direct benefits to local populations, strengthening their sustainable practices and contributing to the preservation of the biome.
